The shelf-part for a laptop WILL stretch enough to hold a regular keyboard, but has no space for a mouse. I've used all-in-one keyboards with a built in trackpad to get around this.

The main post could be a little taller, but I like how the base can be a big C clamp or a through-hole mount. Both work well.

I really like this monitor arm. Once installed, it articulates left and right really easily. If you want to make any adjustments up and down, they need to be done with tools, which is totally fine. I think I will aim to have a fully articulating arm next time I buy one of these. Otherwise, it was great value, it's very sturdy and it does the job. I really like this monitor arm. Nice easy set up, great cable management options and very user friendly. Like another reviewer I think the laptop arm is a bit high - I need to put it at the lowest setting for it to be just right. Very solid and easy to set up and it has great cable management. My only gripe is the laptop arms lowest height is still quite high, but it's just right if I have my chair on the highest setting. Bought two of these for my kids - they both have large curved monitors and they fit nicely side by side on their desk, allowing them to use their laptop screen and curved monitor for gaming.
