It's a very good router but it was slightly different to setup to my other Asus router.
Just make sure you tell the router to read the Wan connection from the 1GB port otherwise the router somehow thinks it's not plugged in.
Also turn off the special requirements regarding vpn in the lan section area otherwise it will take a hour or so before your connection reconnects after a reboot.

I also had issue with setting up aimesh using another router to this router and had to use two network cables to setup the mesh.

Overall it's been staying strong.
I notice my Webcam is a little bit more responsive. Great to have the 6ghz band.

I would gladly buy this router again if my house was bigger.

We have a large single story house with an average of 18 devices connected. The standard vodafone mesh router didn't cover the while house and always dropped out. This one covers nit only the house but the whole section with great speeds. It is also very easy to setup. Yet to find and downsides to this product. asus routers that are gaming oriented have UPNP and open NAT with an easy port forwarding interface that doesent need manual filling out, this has neither, its a good triband router but lacks the gaming portion of the software ui that the tuf ax or ax86 has, im a bit torn cos i should have just gone for another ax86 then pick this up. I probably should have done more research, price was sharp though. Coming from a previous high-spec Asus router that I liked (ac2100) I replaced it with this model. Other than having difficulty finding the setting I needed to make my fiber work (under IPTV of all places) it was easy to set up, has all the features needed to run a home-server, I can kick the kids devices over to the guest network (and block snapchat). Mixed feelings on this, Using asus router as hadn't had problems with them in the past, aside from natural death with older units. This unit is very good, does exactly what its supposed to, using it with a zenwifi mesh and works well.

The mixed feelings comes from the fact that "automatic update" is ignored by security scripts it turns out, and asus routers worldwide failed for 2 days with no mention from asus at all till after the fact, when it was revealed that a security update was corrupted and ended up with modems eventually running out of memory and requiring a power cycle. I've no intention of returning this one tho as while the old one works fine, I've re-setup the mesh networks with routers 3 times ( twice with customer support who also didn't mention other routers ( supplied) were having issues at the same time) and while its straight forward it is time consuming to reset them and they are installed in assorted places across the property.

Very good product, shady recent events and discovery about the ignored customer settings not so much.
