Designed for a wide range of smaller organizations that are in need of world-class networking, the Cisco Meraki MS120-8FP has all the power and flexibility of enterprise-grade Meraki hardware but in a tiny go-anywhere package that's perfect for startups.
The MS120-8FP is an eight-port, Layer 2 switch with full PoE power support across all Ethernet ports. A power budget of 124W leaves plenty of room for powering attached devices such as IP phones or 802.11ac Wave 2 WiFi access points. Two separate SFP Gigabit uplinks ensure there will be plenty of bandwidth for all users and devices. Should the network ever need more capacity, the MS120-8FP also features virtual stacking capabilities that make it simple to add more MS120-series switches to the network.
As part of a Meraki mesh-based network, the MS120-8FP is capable of self-configuring and self-optimizing. No matter how large your Meraki network grows, it will always maintain optimal performance automatically. The network mesh is also self-healing, and it can adjust for any hardware failures to minimize the impact they have on overall performance.
With the Meraki Dashboard system, configuration is simple and accessible for anyone - even if they have no previous networking experience. Everything is handled through a single simple GUI that is easy to learn, while still bringing all the power and control an experienced admin would want. From top-level oversight, to reporting, to app-level security restrictions, the Meraki Dashboard makes administration a breeze.
