Ubiquiti UniFi (UCG-Ultra) Cloud Gateway Ultra

This is an excellent addition to a home network especially if you already have a few Unfi products. I especially love the built-in VPN options, the content filtering and the ability to setup and enforce policies like time/speed/app/domain restrictions for devices. The Hotspot for guest or visitors is great and has stacks of options. It is small but very feature-rich and powerful. The mgmt console is rich and informative and easy to use, locally and remotely. With a subscription to a VPN service, you can integrate this into this gateway directly and have the VPN tunnel (Wireguard or OpenVPN) used for whatever LAN devices you want. Tts one of the models that support BGP with a bit of Cli work. The cheaper models are also good for general use, however I have specific things I want to do with networking.
This is the model most likely to get BGP setup with the GUI. Honestly? FRR CLI syntax makes my teeth itch.

Going the other way, to dream machines. They may offer more in a enterprise environment. For one thing they are rack sized.
They are not, however, any better for my use case.

Migrated from a USG3 (external Unifi-Application to inbuilt on the UCG-Ultra. That was abit of an exercise. But once across, it all seems to be good. This replaced a USG 3P and works great! The WAN fail over is significantly faster, and the extra processing power means I can finally run full traffic identification and other features at line rate.

Dual WAN setup was more obscure than on the USG, it appeared to set it up automatically, but needed another 3rd party gateway network to be created before it would properly enable.

This Cloud Gateway was relativelly straight forward to commission (I have some IT knowledge but am not a network admin).

There are numerous Youtube reviews with step by step instructions showing how to get the most out of this. My benefits using the Ubiquiti UniFi UCG-Ultra Cloud Gateway Ultra include:

It's running the Unifi OS and controlling two wireless access points. No fuss at all.
I also have a CloudKey Plus which is controlling 5 Cameras and one Sensor.
