Bambu Lab P1S 3D Printer

I waited ages before i could get this printer and it was absolutely worth it. Easy to setup and was printing that very night. There's no stopping now and now i print everyday. I originally started with an Ender 3 V3 SE which was a great starter machine but still had some issues with print quality and it wasn’t the most beginner friendly machine. But this thing is so crazy perfect right from the start it’s insane! The only times the prints have ever failed is because it was my fault and it is incredibly helpful that you can view the printer from the mobile app with its built in camera and start prints from your phone using makerworld! Overall great printer, well worth it. Easy to set up, and worked straight away, without any problems. I've been printing out my own accessories from Makers World, and have started on a Japanese lamp that will use the light kit 001 that came with the printer.

A re-spooler model I found on Makers World took 21 hours to print, and I left it running overnight without any problems. Using Bambu Lab filaments in the AMS mean the RFID tags identify the filament automatically for me, although it couldn't find one of the filament types I loaded for my my last print. That might be because I started the print before trying to identify the filament.

The only cons I have found so far is that it wants to do a thorough bed levelling check before each print which takes a while. The Bambu Filaments are more expensive than other brands, and it's not too difficult to enter the temperature and other requirements manually in Bambu Studio. The Handy app on my phone lets me print directly from the phone, which is nice, but when a complex multi plate project was being printed it didn't let me change the filament selection for one of the plates.

Altogether great value for money so far, and the finance option was helpful.

Honestly excellent, super easy to use and has worked with every filament ive thrown at it, bambu filaments in particular are very well calibrated out of the box.

I will say though that saying the “chassis temperature regulation fan” is “close loop controlled” is a bit misleading as it has no temp sensor for the chassis and as such the chassis fan is set based on the bed temp and filament (which isn't not “closed loop”) and is a bit disappointing considering the cents it would have cost to implement and the fact you cant add it yourself.
