Brother QL700 Label Printer

Perfect for our application, which involves labelling samples with a QR code. Easy to set up, and very easy to use. File format is proprietary, but in fact is just a zipped file containing mixture of bitmap images and text in an XML file.... so is easy to generate even without the Brother app. Perfect for our application, which involves labelling samples with a QR code. Well for the first time use it performs pretty dam good. fast, auto cuts just as described. What interests me the most is how the paper handles heat, if you get it too hot, it will turn black. I have left some prints in the dashboard of my van which gets really hot during the summer days and after about 3 weeks they are good as when they were printed. Totally awesome! You failed to mention there is a win10 conflict issue with this label printer. It can be fixed I gather but only after hours of fiddling and googling. Right now i'm giving up and will attack it again later but really disappointed you didn't mention it. You failed to mention there is a win10 conflict issue with this label printer. If you are in the market for a label printer and use a Mac or windows 10 don’t bother

Printer cannot be used on macs anymore as the developers will not update the app so It cannot be run on a mac (to even find the app you need a windows machine aswell to copy the hidden mac folder to a usb then onto your mac)

Windows 10 it won’t even show up with 9 different drivers and softwares being installed and tried from the brother website including the cd that comes with the product

Windows 11 you have to go to the brother website download the software then it will tell you it can’t install the drivers then proceed to put the CD from the box in and try install it will then tell you it can’t install because it’s to old click continue it will then wipe the old/new drivers and install the ones from the cd which will then make the printer be able to work on the machine

Insane hassle for a product that is “plug and play and has software included”
