Bought this as I was unimpressed with the Fujitsu wifi that I bought for my heat pump. So I returned the OEM one and bought this and its so much better with more options. This was a gift for a friend as I have one that works a treat. The photos and videos show the Sensibo in a different room to the remote / AC unit. It turns out the Sensibo needs to be in the line of sight of the remote (and the remote needs to be in the line of sight of the unit, of course). So that's the first thing.

Secondly, they show it as an unplugged unit on the wall... but it needs to be plugged in with continuous power. It's not a chargeable unit.

I thought about buying this for a very long time and finally bought one it is the best thing ever with its automatic temperature and fan controls maintaining room temperature very nicely. I now have SIX of these devices to control the six aircon units I have. Two of the rooms are used for growing African Violets and these devices are used to control the high temperatures we experienced this summer. Far better than the smart apps that come with wifi enabled aircon units which are clumsy to use. I have never regretted buying these Sensibo Sky units. Easy to set up and manage. Well done Sensibo!! Before this device turned up, I installed the app to get it set up. And straight off the bat Sensibo started sending me spammy emails about buying value add features, which I don't want. This led me to not trusting the device being on my network. So I have never even plugged it in. Internally it has a ESP8266, which other geeks have hacked and put open-source firmware on. Alexa support which is a much simpler interface, it would be nice if Alexa could support more functions though.

Easy to use App with very easy set-up. We can now easily control the heat pump to turn on and off to schedule, or when it gets too cold. This solved a problem when the commercial add-on to our Mitsubishi Heay Industries heat pump didn't work - I wish we had got it straight away and saved all the hassle.
