SENSIBO AirPro Smart Wi-Fi Air Conditioner Controller Temperature Humidity Sensor / Air Quality Monitor

These are great devices for adding smarts and automation to many home air conditioning units. I have three of these now. This newer model with the additional CO2 and VOC sensors is a nice update for air quality monitoring. From a home automation perspective, they are easily integrated into Apple Home via Homekit, and Home Assistant through the Sensibo cloud API. Our two main units are now fully automated with presence, and indoor and outdoor temperatures.

I've removed 1 star because these units seem to have trouble with homes with multiple wifi access points broadcasting the same wifi network name - they don't appear to handle wifi roaming at all well. I have managed to mitigate this by using the network to control which AP the device connects to. I hope that Sensibo update the firmware to better support roaming. This shouldn't be an issue for homes with only a single wifi access point.

I have been getting more into home automation lately and rebooting my Home Assistant install and wanted a way to control my "dumb" heat pumps. The models I have do have WiFi accessories, but they're from 10 years ago and not that great. Integrating the Sensibo AirPro has been seamless, if a little difficult to set up initially connecting to the WiFi, but their support team have been great. I even splashed out for the Pro plan for better tracking and features which I've really enjoyed. Was stuck needing to use remote for heat pump. This helped get that control onto my phone. Super easy setup. I trialed the subscription for the 14 days and felt that I did not need to continue it.
