Announced in February 2020, Ducati's Superleggera V4 utilizes the Panigale V4 as a base and features a strong focus upon lightness: cowlings, frame, swing arm and wheels are carbon fiber components, while power is supplied by a 998cc V4 engine that - in conjunction with an Akrapovic circuit exhaust - gives an impressive 234hp output. Highly distinctive "biplane wings" on the front cowl give the Superleggera V4 a strong visual identity and contribute to an impressive 50kg of downforce at 270km/h. Only 500 of the full size Superleggera V4 were available for purchase, making this crystallization of Ducati's engineering and aerodynamic expertise an elusive catch indeed.

Take a look at the rear of the bike, with its racy form featuring a swing arm attached on one side.

Four biplane wing aero devices on the front are reminiscent of a MotoGP bike, and are recreated in style.

Cowls and undercover can be removed after completion of the model to admire the design beneath.

Depictions of the 998cc engine and the fuel tank are screw-attached to the model's frame.

Renderings of the engine-rear shock and exhaust are well worth closer inspection.

Take a closer look at the finely drilled brake rotors and brembo caliper.

The chain comes in left and right halves, allowing our deisgners to pack it with detail.

Solid tires are molded in synthetic rubber and feature realistic tread. A racing stand is included.

The silencer shape blends expertly into the lines of the undercowl, for which a carbon fiber effect decal is included.

Steering damper and engine-top airbox and battery are also captured.

Choose between decals depicting the screen in street (left) or race mode (right).

Air tunnels on either side of the seat cowl are another fascinating design point.

Clear parts are included to recreate the rear light and turn signals.

A moving side stand allows depiction of a parked bike.

A full complement of decals includes side cowl gradation and tire logos, and is joined by masking stickers and metal transfers.
