Intel Arc A750 8GB GDDR6 Graphics Card

The potential for good performance is there, just not realised yet.
Well-built, runs cool'n'quiet, feels solid, looks great.
No WDDM/WHQL drivers in WIndows Update or any fallback modes, so you're stuck in 800x600 or so until you download and install the drivers.
The drivers are what needs work: performance is often good, on paper, but continual stutters and jittery frame delivery make it feel like a third of the framerate - in some games.

Overall it's been a nice upgrade from a 1070, with hints that performance could be 2-3x higher, but in reality it feels only about 20-50% better in most situations.

I took a bit of a gamble on this during a recent promotion because I was curious to see what Intel had come up with.

Slapping it in my HTPC with a Ryzen 7 2700X and 16GB of RAM for my first round of testing, it took a while to get setup - my motherboard required a firmware update to enable Resizable BAR, and the GPU needed one too - but nothing too difficult.

The games I tested were:
- Uncharted 4
- Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart
- Spider-man: Miles Morales
- Last of Us Part I
- Gotham Knights
- Sonic Frontiers

With the surprising exception of Sonic Frontiers, all games ran amazingly well at 3440x1440 (Ultrawide) resolution and High-Ultra presets.

For the asking price, you really can't fault this thing. However, be aware that some stability issues persist to this day (Aug 2023). In particular, I saw Uncharted 4 crash for no apparent reason twice. Once while building shaders, and again while actually playing the game for under half an hour.

At best, this will do me for a few years of gaming on my HTPC, and at worst it'll become my "spare" GPU for troubleshooting. So, I'm quite happy with the purchase.

drivers are surprisingly decent (1st gen product) most games get day one driver updates for improved performance which is nice.

my only issue is Intel arc control panel, it’s gorgeous and fairly minimal without bloat but I’ve never been able to update drivers within the app.

The performance is better than I was expecting considering the not so great reviews elsewhere. I did a ton of research before purchasing and I'm NOT disappointed. Raytracing and all the goodies with Fortnite, Elite Dangerous, Microsoft Flight Sim and War Thunder all maxed out.
It does a very good job with Star Citizen but sadly, with that one title the 8GB of VRAM gets swallowed up and you can get a bit of stuttering as it caches the card! ( I was hoping to get an A770 with 16GB of RAM but PBTech couldn't source one for me )

Now my one word of advice... DO NOT just rip out your nVidia/AMD card and put this one in and hope to have no issues. Intel advises ( and I HAD to do it ) to use the DDU Device Driver Removal Tool to rid Windows
PROPERLY of any nVidia/AMD drivers before installing your ARC drivers. If you don't do this you can get a ton of gaming issues you'd think you'd purchased a crap/bad card! ( Happened to me! )
This thing is almost on par with a 4060 in performance with so many titles, yet at just a fraction of the cost!

Went in with an open mind expecting instability galore but I've honestly had more crashes from AMD cards than I have from this.

Apart from a few minor bugs (dual screen confision on occasion, a few legacy games don't run well yet) its been better than expected. Can't believe this is so cheap, great first outing for Intel , get steady frame rates even with ray tracing, good for 1080p gaming , very happy with it, can't wait to see what they do next. This card is a real little beast. Got it on a deal for 299 and the price to performance ratio at this price point is amazing. You are getting 80-90 percent of a 4060 for 60% of the price. Be sure to enable re-sizable bar, and make sure the latest drivers are downloaded and installed. Power draw is quite high - keep that in mind. Otherwise brilliant for 1080p and surprisingly good at 1440 with xess supported titles. This card is a real little beast. The Arc A750 is working perfectly for me, have had no issues at all, no instability, for the games I've been playing it works very well, very good FPS and performance.

There is a known workaround that gets idle power lower for these cards, I've done this and now my idle power usage is pretty low (it's easy to do).
There's also a small tweak you have to do for the Intel Arc software to get a fan curve, this is easy to do in 2 minutes, and then allows you to set a fan curve for temp/fan speed, it works well.
