I used it to upgrade the HDD to SSD in a mid-2011 27" iMac and it is long enough to work out-of-the-box no problem. This is great value.

Fit perfectly with the Samsung Evo 860 SSD as well as the desktop 3.5 hard drive bay. Yes you need to turn it upside down with SSD facing downwards when fit it on the hard drive bay which I am fine with that. No issue with the Dynamix 50cm Right Angled SATA 6Gbs Data Cable but look a bit awful when the right angle facing upwards. If you want, you can get the one without right angled. Basic, cheap, and cheerful. Has everything you need to install your 2.5" SSD now!! Just be careful about your choice of SATA cables - the bracket can make it hard to plug in a right-angle cable - fortunately I had a spare straight cable so wasn't a problem for me. This unit will be fitted to a Desktop machine for a SSD Drive to mount into for speed and performance. I have already used one of these unit for another upgrade project. It's great if you are retrofitting into traditional cases, side holes yada yada yada, BUT like most SSD mounts it doesn't support underside mounting which a lot of OEMs have used for 3.5" drives. Some clever thinking might save you, but double check. Really needs those underside screw holes to be universal.
