It's bent metal with holes in it and screws so you can mount a 2.5" drive in a 3.5" bay. Fitted my SDD fine. As always, an awesome little adapter for mounting SSD's instead of HDD's in older cases. I think what I've learned from using these a few times is have these sitting as a platform with the drive on top, rather than seating them the other way with the drive sitting inside the edges, if that makes sense. Stable mount for SSD. Easy to install. Keep in mind, even though it comes with screws (to attached the drive to the bracket), you will need those side clips that come with your case, in order to slot it into the rack.
I was actually after a lighter plastic one, but I think this metal one could be better as it might help dissipate heat better? Not sure... Stable mount for SSD. Easy to install.
