UGREEN UG-70504 M.2 NVME to PCI-E3.0 Express Card with M.2 SATA

Bought two of these expecting a single NVME to PCIe adapter like the product page shows. But UG-70504 product is actually a single SATA M.2 and a single NVME M.2 adapter card (for the SATA M.2 to work need to connect to your motherboard utilising a SATA cable.

Also, it does not come with a heatsink as noted on the product page, this was one of the main reasons I bought it to avoid a separate purchase of a heatsink. So 4 stars because of this, otherwise does what it says.

Apart from that works fine for a few weeks now with Samsung 970 EVO plus 1Tb and 2Tb drives in an old dell r720xd server, and I guess the M.2 SATA connector may become useful in the future. Boot from the NVME using cloverEFI on USB key running proxmox and trunas via the cards.

The description on PB Tech's website states that this product is not compatible with 'B' key M.2 drives, implying that the device works with two 'M' key M.2 NVMe drives. This is false.

The description on the box is pretty clear, this device supports one of each type ('M' key only in the bottom slot, 'B' key only in the top slot which must also be connected to your motherboard via the included SATA cable).

The device worked perfectly on my older Xeon server which does not have NVMe slots. The description on PB Tech's website states that this product is not compatible with 'B' key M.2 drives, implying that the device works with two 'M' key M.2 NVMe drives. This is false.

if your new too linux like me and have too learn trash like how too code ect.. then this is a handy way of doing it throw a 4tb nvme drive on here install linux and see what too do and then just take it out and run windows without any issue.(also easyer then dual booting and you do not loss any info until your fully commited or just swap as needed.

Glad I purchased this adaptor, worked as advertised and simple to install. Take care you have the correct slot available on the MB as I ended up having to use my GPU PCIe slot.
