This is an excellent microphone for the price. Plugged usb into my laptop, connected my headphones into the microphone unit itself to monitor the volume, adjusted the gain on my sound mixer software, and I was in business. I am using it for podcasting and mounted it on a mic arm to keep it off the desk. Knocks back my plosives well. Best mic I've had in this price range (and dearer). Feels weighty and every inch a professional mic.
The sound quality is outstanding, the pop filter did a great job, even when trying to defeat the pop filter I couldn't easily discern plosives.
Directional, doesn't pick up room noise, although the gain seemed a little low - easily adjusted for in software.

After using this mic for a few weeks, I can say this has the best audio quality of any mic I've ever used, and it's not even close. The quality comes through super clear, however, for the best quality, you're gonna want to have this mic as close to your face as possible - around 30~40cm away. It is quite sensitive, and will pick up some nearby noise, however, using the app's software lets you turn on a noise gate which is quite effective. My only issue is that there is no mute button. This can be remedied with a macro bound to your keyboard or mouse, but it is still something to note. Highly recommended, even at full price. Because of that, I have no buyer's remorse after getting this product.

I've also used it for Zoom calls (with nvidia broadcast for background noise cancellation) with the mic like 40cm+ from my mouth and it was just fine (Zoom automatic mic gain was on).

I like the 3.5mm headphone jack for live monitoring. Not all mics have this feature.
Plugging into this jack DOES let you hear all the normal computer audio too. So unless you have an external DAC that you'd rather use, then you can just leave your headphones plugged into the mic (if your headset uses 3.5mm connectors) And you can just toggle your own voice on/off easily.

The 'Rode Connect' software makes this very much a viable product for Streamers (I don't stream at all). You can easily push sound effects through the mic, and add your own custom sounds to the default library.
The biggest (and so far the only) gripe I have is that the software completely closes when you close the app and you can't minimise it to the System Tray. So it just clutters your desktop and needs to be present even if you don't need to adjust the settings.

A great mic, crisp sound - warm but clear. We haven't used it extensively so far, but the recordings we have made have been remarkable. Using this mic with my 5 years old acer laptop often caused robotic noise issues. However, I recently changed my device to the newest Macbook and the mic is now working perfectly fine and the sound is very good.
