Dynamix C-U3AA-1 1M USB3.0 Type A Male to Type A Male Cable

Docking one star because I had to buy a cable to determine its wiring, it's nicely constructed and seems good quality.

In USB 2, A-plug to A-plug cables like this one were specifically prohibited, but the USB 3 spec (good bedtime reading material: USB 3.1 Legacy Cable and Connector Specification, 5.5.2) does describe a way to wire them with the VBUS (power) and D+/D- (not-superspeed data) not connected. There are two "right ways" to wire them in practice, depending on the application: one is to leave VBUS disconnected, the other is to connect VBUS straight through.

This cable connects VBUS straight through, so it works for situations where one end is plugged in to a normal USB A receptacle on a computer/hub/etc and the other is a USB A receptacle on a device that needs to be powered by the cable. If both receptacles provide power then this wiring could be problematic.
