Originally was going to go with a X3D CPU, however I changed my mind and went for this because of the price. I have this paired with my 9070 XT and it performs great. As seen in other review this CPU at stock config is alright and amazing when PBO is activated.
As for me this is the perfect all rounder CPU at stock that is more than capable of boosting as high as your thermal solution allows while sipping power. As seen in other review this CPU at stock config is alright and amazing when PBO is activated.

I recommend this one to people looking for a hybrid CPU for work and gaming. For better performance, remember to turn off the 65W TDP power limits!!.

Hasn't let me down at all, Great performance for the price. Bought the B650M-a Wifi motherboard for a great price to go with it, Only thing i needed to do was update the bios for the motherboard so it was compatible with the CP, other then that Great purchase overall! The 9700X, unlike X3D counterparts (see 7800X3D, 9800X3D) has considerable overclocking headroom. While it may not beat out the 9800X3D in raw gaming performance, an overclocked 9700X is nearly on par with the 9800X3D in gaming and stronger in alternative workloads. When I was going to build my pc, the 9800x3d was sold out, and I didn't want to wait a long time for the 7800x3d so I went with this instead, paired this with a 4060ti (I was originally pairing with a 4070 ti super but ran out of stock) and it performed way better than my expectations, as I had watched reviews on this cpu which were slightly negative. I think that the price is reasonable enough considering that the 9800x3d is almost 400$ more and the 7800x3d 300 more, giving a small difference in performance. If you play games like valorant, csgo and fortnite then you should probably consider copping this cpu.
