Plugged it in, it worked (Win10). I haven’t used the drive copy function, but it’s been great for going through all my old busted hard drives and figuring out which ones still had anything of value on them. I have had this Unitek docking station/clone for some months now and used the off line function 3 times and has worked like clock work, also have used as a docking station which also I can't fault, I love this unit and would recommend to all, it was a little bit more money than others but I'm glad I bought this one.

As per the title, the first job I had for this was to see if it could successfully clone an Xbox One S original 1TB HDD to an equivalent sized SSD using its built-in clone button function. The answer is yes. The clone was completed in somewhere around 3-4hrs.

I double checked that the original partition structure, volume labels and in particular, the Disk and Volume GUID's were transferred using DISKPART and Powershell as these are required for the Xbox firmware to recognise the disk properly and apply future updates as well as perform a factory reset.

I haven't tried the one-button clone as I've been using it to clone from HDD's to smaller SSD's which you need to do via a computer with software.
For Windows I used EaseUs Todo Backup and for Mac I used SuperDuper (both free).
There are possibly lower cost devices that will do the same thing but as I have a lot of Apple gear I chose this one for it's design. What can I say? It works.

I brought this to help recover a severally damaged drive, though the drive was to damage for a successful recovery of all the data, the device preformed flawlessly and has been running for over 14 days with out issue , I like that the drives can be used as external separate drives, or do a strait clone of one drive to the other with a single push of the button, the data link is very quick, very happy with it's metal case, would highly recommend this for the price! Bought one of these so I could retrieve data & family pictures off two laptops that no longer worked.
Plugged it into my new laptop, plugged in the 500Gb and 1Tb drives in and was able to grab all the data easily.
Reformatted both drives and now I have 1.5 Tb of spare storage to use.
