This little sdd makes a massive difference. It it so amazing to have my PC boot in 30seconds and even more so when any other programs open almost immediately. This drive is a massive step up from a plain Evo 970, which is what it replaced in my system. I bench marked them both, and there is a significant jump moving to the pro. Would highly recommend the upgrade, even moving from a standard Evo 970. Well worth the money. This drive is a massive step up from a plain Evo 970, which is what it replaced in my system. I bought this along with an Orico M.2 NVME PCle3.0 x4 M.2 SSD Expansion Card for my dell T 5810 workstation. Not sure which one is at fault, but the combination of both didn’t work in my case even after two weeks of fighting with the help of experts online. All sorts of different issues the main one of which is causing the machine non-responsive. I have to return both. Sturdy build quality, not afraid of the hinges wearing down or the base falling apart. The Ryzen coupled with the rtx2080 make games look beautiful and run with decent fps, although I can see why FPS players may opt for a screen with a faster response time. For casual players it’s negligible and if you’re not playing an FPS or racing game I wouldn’t worry. The colours can be fine tuned as can the sound presets, and both are acceptable to make games and movies come to life. The only gripe would be the heating/fans; perhaps more vents on the bottom would have been wiser? Basically it runs loud when stressed and not the most comfortable thing to have on your thighs due to the heat, but if you play with headphones on a flat cold surface then it isn’t a problem whatsoever. Great price and great value in the current market, glad I bought this instead of the new 3060 laptops as they will be throttled by the heating, whereas this 2060 isn’t.
