I bought this to back up my macbook using time machine. It's working fine for that purpose - just a good basic drive, doesn't take up much space on the desk, and didn't cost much. thought that was a resonable deal! Plenty of space for our requirements.

I use these external drives as my backups, and find them really easy to use and heaps of storage. Found the PB Tech guys very easy to deal with, very helpful and no pressure to purchase more products than I wanted. If you're a Mac user you'll need to reformat it if you use this harddrive for media between devices. If you don't have one already, purchase a USB-C hub because the harddrive won't fit any ports in the newer macbook air. A suggestion is the belkin USB-C multimedia hub which has multiple ports.
