It’s super fast for what it is! I transferred a 7 GB ProRes LOG file in almost 6 secs!!! That’s crazy fast! and surprisingly small!. It’s the size of a credit/eftpos/business card! I was pleasantly surprised by the textured rubberised sleeve! I didn’t realise it was rugged!! With a 5-year warranty and 3m drop protection is nuts!

If you’re an iPhone user, you can record 4K ProRes LOG directly to the T9 without reformatting though this is something you have to manage within the phone/app like Blackmagic Camera App. Filmic Pro is the same. With the built-in camera app, you have to select “ProResLOG” in the resolution settings.

Older models like XS Max and any lighting iPhones won’t work cos they use flash memory but there are third-party work arounds like moving footage over via USB Hubs (with pass through) or SD Cards. Trust me. It doesn’t work. I tried everything. The T9 will LED will turn off when using lighting to USB-C cable

Also, if you’re using it for iPhone/iPad Pro, there’s no way to set up password protection. ONLY with a MAC, LC and Android.

I recommend this for any mobile filmmakers out there who are looking for expanded storage with fast read and write speeds!!

Bought this while it was on special and so far it has been absolutely awesome. Transfer speeds are as fast ast the t7 but that's only because I have plugged it to a regular USB c port. That is around 350mbps

I bought this portable T9 2TB SSD as a back-up to my usual Samsung T7 2TB SSD (just in case it got lost or corrupted).
As it's so much faster than the T7, its now my daily SSD and the T7 is the back-up.

Good Hard drive but very disappointed with the speed.
The the description is not explaining that the 2000MB/s is not possible on most computers.
On my late 2023 M2 MacBook Pro, this drive is not faster then the T7 Good Hard drive but very disappointed with the speed.
