The apps on my smart tv stop being supported. This has a handy little remote that turns tv off and on, volume + -, input selection. So no need to use existing remote. Does all Freeview and other free global channels (dated content) All paid service with subscription. VLC media player so I’m hoping this will work for file formats the tv won’t play. It’s not laggy and can cache 4gb of data. Well worth the money

Really like it and having the remote is super handy as it links with the TV to turn the tv on and off and control the volume. Being able to use the apps I usually use without having to pull out my phone is super nice!
Another great 'spur of the moment' purchase
Was at the store for what we REALLY went to purchase ....and ended up spending $800+....got GREAT stuff, including this impulse buy...already had a Chromecast, but this one has a remote!!!! hahahahaha. Friendly, professional staff rounded off an awesome shopping experience that day.

As soon as Chromecast arrived I plugged it into my 20 year old Samsung TV and turned it into a smart TV in a matter of 10 minutes. I am running Netflix, Disney+, Neon, TVNZ+, ThreeNOW, YouTube and Spotify, This is an outstanding product and I recommend it to everyone, thanks PB Tech.
Chromecast is here to stay
These new gen chromecasts are awesome and the UI is much better to use. I use mine with a monitor and it works perfectly. Set up was easy and the remote is a nice addition.
