This boom arm is solid enough for its intended use in home studios and for videographers and podcasters. While the construction isn't to professional standards, it's better than expected at this price.

The arm fixes to a desk using a solid clamp and comes with a number of fittings to suit all sorts of spaces, microphones and setups. A handy clipping system to keep the cable out of harm's way, is included.

Would recommend this over the Blue Compass Boom arm. I'm pairing it with the HyperX Quadcast and it does its job really well. I have a Hyper X a desk mic that I used for online meetings that was sitting on my desk and always in the way. Been using it for a few weeks now. My home office is quite compact so desk space is at a premium and the boom arm was perfect for freeing up desk space, tidying up the cables and apparently improved the audio (couple of comments in a couple of meetings) as the mic now sits just above the monitor directly in-front of me. Feels really well made and the adjustments were perfect and very tight and stable. The cable tidies were a bonus. Pretty pleased with the new setup. This boom is awesome. It has a long reach, is nice and clean to look at and is super easy to set up. Works perfectly with my razor siren mic. Paired with a small for factor microphone it fits snugly on a desk.
The channel along the arm is perfect for snakeing a wire through and the clamps hold the wire in place.
Plastic and metal construction makes it lightweight but sturdy.

I got this thing about a month ago, it’s pretty good. The design is sleek and I can guarantee the cable slot is better than you think it is. But it’s hard to turn vertically, not hard as in I’m not strong enough. Hard to turn as in it doesn’t stay where you want it to. It’ll stay where it wants to, and that is above you. If you put this so the arm is arm height and holds the mic up to your mouth it will raise itself to be above you, even if you tighten it it’s still hard to mess with. But other than that fatal flaw this thing is great, best mic stand I think anyone can hope for in ever.
