I actually use this on my desk on a plexi base and in the car if I'm going somewhere I need a map. My last one broke and begrudgingly I bought this one but glad I did. Far easier to slot the phone in and release the phone. Nice space for the charge cord at the bottom, great fluid movement but not too light that the weight of the phone makes it move once in place. This is so handy, I sometimes stick it to the table top when I'm reading on my phone at home. I have a larger size phone and it has plenty of adjustment capability to take small or large devices. In the car I stick it to the front windscreen or the small side window and it has excellent suction. However it does need a very flat smooth surface so it won't stick to textured dashboards or mouldings. This is so handy, I sometimes stick it to the table top when I'm reading on my phone at home. The suction pad does not stick at all, fitted it to windscreen after wiping it with windscreen wipes and drying it and as soon as I touch it falls off. Likewise with dash mount!
