Just upgraded to this unit from the Quest 2.
Graphics are better and it’s a bit more refined.
Definitely an improvement. Would recommend the head band with the battery pack for longer game time. Just upgraded to this unit from the Quest 2.

Bought this a couple of weeks ago and having a fantastic experience; the missing star is because to get the best experience, you basically have to buy (in my case 3rd party) accessories. Works fantastic for PCVR using the Virtual Desktop app, and I've accumulated bundles of PC VR games over the years that I now get to actually play for the first time!

Seriously good all-round vr headset. I had relatively high expectations going in and it surpassed them. I do strongly recommend getting another headstrap, ideally one with a battery. I have the previous 2 quests, my son inherits each as i update and we can fight zombies, cook and fish together. This one is as big a step up as the second from the first. I wear glasses, and usually take them off as the lenses in the 2 allowed me to focus with the sweet spot, but this set lets me see with my glasses and everything is not only clear, but theres no screen door effect that ive seen yet. Its so clean.

Its notably smaller, like a modern scuba mask instead of a 60's bond film cylinder on the face scuba mask. The standard one died after 2 hours of sitting watching a giant floating youtube screen in my living room as i did other things. Yeah, there is some pixelation, but the inside out view is now clear enough to work on a computer or kitchen or housework. Is a huge leap from the black n white static that was the quest 2s thing.

Totally worth the spend, i went for the 128 as i dont need to install everything at once, and games can sit between 1 to 50 gb, mostly at the lower end so hasnt come up yet.

I did get the kiwi pro strap as i said, i dont like the standard strap that comes with it, and i got the new case but thinking about getting the presentation charging dock.

The thing is fantastic.

Very impressed by this so far, have been using Immersed for adding virtual screens to my MacBook and it's perfect. I can easily spend 4 hours in it at a time (with external power) with three giant screens and no real eyestrain. YouTube app is great, hand-tracking is good enough and controllers work pretty well. Passthrough is great, I can use my phone well enough to txt or use my password manager. Audio is surprisingly good, visuals are fantastic with the pancake lenses, the Quest 3 is a huge step up from a Vive/Vive Pro with way less screen door and no 'sweet spot' in the middle of the lense, your eyes can actually roam.
