Ubiquiti UniFi U6-Pro (AX5400) Dual-Band 6-Stream Wi-Fi 6 Access Point (PoE+ 13W)

I replaced the 2nd generation AP-AC-Pro with this 6th generation AP.
This also use a Qualcomm chip IPQ5018/AP-MP03.1-C2, two ARMv7 Processor rev 4 (v7l) CPU, 1GB RAM and 4GB storage.
The single U6-Pro installed in the garage and covers the whole house using a "medium" signal strength and about 20 WiFi devices.

I was torn between the U6-Pro and the Aruba AP22.
The AP22 has better 2.4 GHz performance, and arguably a more robust, stable firmware.
But I am not keen on the Aruba cloud managed only AP software idea.

I'm getting much faster speeds in speed tests than with my AC Lite, and while it is arguably better to cover an area with two weaker APs than a stronger one, this does seem to do the job everywhere in my 2 storey house and even outside in the 5 GHz band when mounted in the roof cavity.

My only gripe is that the LAN port is 1 Gbps instead of the 2.5 Gbps that would have made more sense given the potential max throughout. This access point has greatly improved the Wi-Fi coverage in our home, and is incredibly fast. Setup was simple through the app. Highly recommend these for anyone wanting amazing Wi-Fi. We've been using this for a month now in our small house and have noticed a ~200Mbps (significant) bump in performance over our previous model (UAP-nanoHD).

Added 2 U6-Pros to supplement my existing AC-LRs. Huge improvement on a 500/500 connection see 400+ download on my Wifi6 compatible devices and in a mesh with my AC APs no single AP is getting overloaded. Good stuff is never cheap, the PRO version has more bandwidth if you take time and put in the right settings the devices will work fast, reliably, and without issues. Spend a little more and stop wondering how the performance will be with the PRO versions. Give it a try.

The max speed I saw over wifi when using this was 850 mbps down and 450 mbps up. We pay for 950/500. Very easy to configure and set up especially when using an existing unifi set-up. In place for a few weeks now and it just works with my other Ubiquiti gear as you would expect, but it does need PoE+ so my current Ubiquiti PoE switch cannot provide enough power to run at full power mode like the other access points that I have. Fortunately it can run in low power mode until I get an injector for it. Wi-fi speeds in the kids rooms increased 10x with this in place even in low power mode. This is a very powerful access point and I had great success it getting an excellent signal at the back of the house which covers about 5 rooms. It's set up as a mesh system and it even can send a reasonable signal to the garage and large family room on the bottom floor. However, I will be running cabling to ensure I get a dedicated better connection.
