Sure, your laptop inside it will stand upright, but it will wobble. And the screw makes for so much fiddling putting in or taking out your device. Very useful to keep the laptop standing up right keeping the desk clear from clutter. Super easy to adjust to the laptop size and has protective rubber to help prevent scratches. Well/premium built metal, fits any size (medium sized) laptops/tablets. I like how it fits two devices, one for a tablet and one for a laptop or two laptops/tablets.
