This can literally save alot of time and hassle, if you dont like the idea of drilling holes and running cables through your house this is perfect, it works just as it say it will, and setup is no more than 5 to 10 mins. The distance from my home router to my laptop in the bedroom is obstructed by the kitchen fridge and stove and sometimes I would get 20 Mbps with the wifi, but usually on average only 8 Mbps (sometimes as little as 2 Mbps).

I now consistently get above 30 Mbps, so I'm happy enough with the result for the money spent. As has been mentioned in other reviews here, each of the two devices need to be plugged directly into the wall socket. I found that the performance will drop considerably if it is plugged into a power strip. In my case the individual wall sockets were on separate fuse circuits, but both were on the same phase supply.

Didn't want to run a long Ethernet Cable down the hall, so decided to invest in this - Just make sure you are plugging them directly into the wall, and making sure the plugs are on the same electrical circuit.

I'd say its probably the same speed as a wifi connection, maybe a bit more, and holds a much stronger connection, but you would be better off plugging straight into the modem if you are concerned about speed. I’ve been using the product for the past month or and I’ve really enjoyed the speeds it gives. The speed isn’t the same as my 5ghz signal but it sure beats the 2.4ghz @2mbps I was experiencing on my very old desktop. I now reach up to 75mbps which is totally awesome. Product delivers on its promise and it’s decently priced. I’ve been using the product for the past month or and I’ve really enjoyed the speeds it gives. Great product for tidy wiring and providing a wired connection in hard to reach areas. I did notice the more circuits the connection passes through the weaker the performance, so try to plug the powerline adapter directly into the wall outlet and not into a power board.
