The reviews were right, plug-in and go. Unpacked them, connected both to a multi-board, paired them and then put them where I wanted them. Worked first time with good speeds. So my parents have had fibre installed and the installer put the ONT in a stupid spot in the far coner of the house (long story) the probleming there is that the wifi wouldn't cover the house from that location. They had a smart TV in that corner however so I needed to run 2 network connections from there to where I wanted to have the Modem for best wifi. I was prepared to go under the house and run cables but then remembered how good the powerline adapter worked in their house in the past.

This AV2000 unit provided seperate 1Gb connections from the ONT and Smart TV to the Modem. Worked first time, SUPER simple to setup and connect. And because Powerline is a standard the existing AV1000 unit could join the network.

in short, the Powerline product provide a truely simple and effective way to get you a hardline network connection without needing to run any wires.

For my parents house, these have been excellent purchases.

I have been using this for about a month now. Base unit is in garage and receiver is in the house. Has not skipped a beat since install (which was simple).I wish I'd known about this sooner. I replaced an old 500 version. This one is much better, more stable and throughout it around 70 Mbps with wireless broadband (in our location coming in with 80 Mbps). I saw the different remarks about the speed. The product claims to offer Gigabit connections with a total throughput of 2000 Mbps. That does not mean that this would be available on a single connection. It is in the nature of MIMO that it is the total aggregated throughput over all connections. and there is is the question how you measure. Solved problem of having internet dropouts due interference to WiFi. Running a "wired" connection to the required location would not have been as easy, nor cheap. Got sick of running a cable down the hallway every time I had a video conference for work. SuperWifi had significant latency issues so I bought a pair of AV2000s from PBTech. Immediate 200Mbps D/100Mbps U speed and more importantly, consistently so. Very simple setup and I have had no issues/downtime/interference whatsoever so far (~4 weeks). I use it in a simple 1:1 config from AC mains by the router to a power point in the adjacent room (my PC). I highly recommend this product and am very satisfied.
