First lesson - the Chorus box is an Optical Network Terminal and your ISP's wifi router is a 'modem/router'. Plug into the ISP's box and disable its wifi. OR follow the pdf instructions I just found on the product page to connect directly to the Chorus ONT.
Second lesson - when a secondary TP-link is flashing red, this is not a bad thing, this is the step before it handshakes with another unit and goes white to show it's ready to go.
Third lesson - when the TP-link is flashing white it is upgrading its firmware and this will take what feels like a very long time. Patience is a virtue.

I had a bit of fun and games getting the mesh set up, quite a bit of it was user error but I did hit issues where the app wouldn't proceed and I had to reset the unit and start again a few times. But once setup was done these units work beautifully. The app is nice and friendly to manage the mesh. Now I have internet in my garage!

I used this to replace a Wi-Fi extender that was only partially effective and left lots of "dead spots".

For a large house, I had 3 Wi-Fi routers. But hand over was a nightmare as you moved around the house. These are a perfect solution. Easy to set up. Then just forget about them. Highly recommend. We had little choice but to get Starlink for our new country place but the wifi range was very limited. The TP-link Deco Mesh system was recommended by Starlink and we are well pleased with the system. It extended the range out to the office in the garage but also way down to the barn and beyond. Speed-test compared wif from the Starlink router with wifi from the TP-link showed the TP-link Mesh hugely improved the speed. I can also walk out from the house with a work laptop with a teams meeting going and it switches from the TP-link unit in the house to the unit in the garage office no problem. One thing to note if this is used to improve Starlink interenet - I didn't realize that to update the Starlink app on my phone I had to switch back to the Starlink wifi at least long enough for it to complete the software update, then I switched back to the TP-link Deco Mesh wifi for the better speed (~300 Mbps) .

Multi level, probably would have gotten away with two but 3 is fine. E4 model would have worked with 100mbps cap but M4 future proofs for inevitable upgrades. Good purchase.

We bought a Starlink basic install kit and soon found that WiFi wouldn't extend very far and certainly not out to the office in the garage right next to the house. So like a lot of others then had to by a Starlink ethernet adapter and the TP-link Deco M$ AC1200. I bought the 3 pack. It was simple enough to set up. So for me the TP-Link Deco was a dramatic improvement extending the WiFi way farther than I thought possible and seems to have significantly improved the Starlink setup. You just have to select the TP-Link WiFi, give it a name and ignore the WiFi from the actual Starlink modem. I think I got the 3 pack while on sale but well worth the money even if not on sale. Ordered online and arrived very quickly even by Rural delivery.
