Was very easy to setup with modem that came with provider, just note that one router will need to be wired to the modem however the boost in range was still a lot better, managed to connect outside sleepout to home wifi with ease. App seems to be easy to use and works well to connect new devices. Automatically switches connection to router with the best signal. Reasonable priced Mesh Units, easy set up that work brilliantly with Starlink. Bypass mode GEN 3 Router and plug one unit into router - plug in other 2 around house - we have 2 x story.
Download Deco app - searches and connects all units - password it - also has Guest feature password set up if required. Update when first connects to internet - job done, with all devices to just set up to Deco with password.

Replaced some old Netgear repeaters in quite big, older concrete and steel two & half story house. Added a fourth M4 module for 'underground' remote area - works fine.
Tied up very smoothly with the Whangarei Uber (not cars) Wi-Fi Net service whilst BW & speed is good for simultaneous 2 TV's and 2- 3 phone surfers . All happy. First lesson - the Chorus box is an Optical Network Terminal and your ISP's wifi router is a 'modem/router'. Plug into the ISP's box and disable its wifi. OR follow the pdf instructions I just found on the product page to connect directly to the Chorus ONT.
Second lesson - when a secondary TP-link is flashing red, this is not a bad thing, this is the step before it handshakes with another unit and goes white to show it's ready to go.
Third lesson - when the TP-link is flashing white it is upgrading its firmware and this will take what feels like a very long time. Patience is a virtue.

I had a bit of fun and games getting the mesh set up, quite a bit of it was user error but I did hit issues where the app wouldn't proceed and I had to reset the unit and start again a few times. But once setup was done these units work beautifully. The app is nice and friendly to manage the mesh. Now I have internet in my garage!

For a large house, I had 3 Wi-Fi routers. But hand over was a nightmare as you moved around the house. These are a perfect solution. Easy to set up. Then just forget about them. Highly recommend.
