Hi, I am reviewing this as part of an overall solution that I put together using this USG Router to connect me to my Spark Fibre directly, then the UniFi Switch US-8-60W and the UniFi UAP-AC-LR Dual Band WiFI Access Point.

This access point is incredible re the quality of its band steering, the sensitivity of its aerials and high power output, so no all my devices all connect seamlessly and all have great performance over my large multi story house, all from just one Access Point! Never had that in all the other routers or access points before, no cons!

Through the UniFi controller software which you download for free and run on your computer is what makes it all so clever and easy to manage and see what is going on - forget the MESH products if you have ethernet throughout your house or even Meshing the Access Points I would rather do and have business grade equipment for high end home price point!

I'm very happy to have this access point. It's greatly helped to boost my wifi signal from the garage to master bedroom. It's recommended to other customers who having wifi signal issues. This is the best solution I've found to extend my wifi in our large house after trying several others. This one unit does our entire house and garden and it was very easy to install. Top piece of kit, solved all of my Wifi issues and then some. Easy to install, simple to manage and operating it has been a breeze. If you want no-nonsense wifi, go with this! Ubiquiti provide continuous firmware updates and enterprise features at a consumer price tag, plus its the only AP at its price point with a mounting bracket for roof mounting.

I was facing wifi drops from my bedroom in our house which has solid wood walls, now I have no issue, AP is in the kitchen too! It also manages to reach the shed too with good signal coverage.

But this device is the first reliable unit that is user friendly with easy step by step instructions how to configure. Previously had no WiFi signal in far end of the house.
