Have the AP installed for a couple of weeks now and cant fault it. have installed in the hallway and you would hardly know it is there. Easy setup using android app, but you will need the controller to do any detailed setup. I was able to install the controller on a raspberry pi. Have not yet measured performance but it does seem a lot faster and more reliable. If you work from home, or you run a business with 5-25 people, definitely consider getting one of these to improve your team's connectivity to the world. We have had fantastic improvement in the quality of our network since installing one of these and subsequently went full UniFi, installing a USG and Switch, as well as a cloudkey to improve our management tools. Since we have installed, we have noticed a dramatic drop in Jitter over our wifi network (from 15 ms average down to about 1ms), which is fantastic if you're using VoIP. We are also able to maximise the use of our Gb fibre connection.

Aesthetically, the WAP is hardly noticeable on the ceiling. It looks great.

Highly recommended, and for the price, a bargain!

Ubiquiti kit is certainly not the cheapest way to go but it does perform really well and I consider it value for money. I am running this AP from an EdgerouterX connected to the ONT. It has handled everything perfectly. As pointed out by others a reasonable amount of knowledge is required to set this equipment up, it is designed for the enterprise user rather than with the average home user in mind. Having said that it does not take to much effort to find all the information required on line and there are some very clear easy to understand U tube videos which cover what is needed to get it all up and running.
