Easy set up and works fine.
The WPS button set up didn't work but after downloading the Tether app the set up was done in minutes. The back of my house had a weak spot but is now as strong as near the main router.
Good but bulky
As an extender it's perfect (need the app for setup) but oh boy is it bulky, so expect to lose access to the other power socket point.
Not worth the money
When in access point mode the ethernet connection only supports up to 100Mb/s which is super slow compared to 802.11ac The 5GHz does not autonegotiate well either.
Did the job nicely!
Turned on and configured within minutes. Great for my need. Connected it to main WiFi router SSID using 2.4GHz and then renamed the extender's 5GHz SSID to the same as main WiFi router's SSID, so now my 5GHz clients have great coverage at the other end of the house.
Completely Solved My Problem
My wi-fi did not reach all of my house as I had hoped. Access to the internet is important to my family so we really wanted access from all parts of home if possible. The TP-Link range extender does exactly what it says it does and does it well. It was easy to install and we are delighted with the results.
