Canon CanoScan LiDE 400 4800x4800 dpi scans USB Type-C A4 flatbed Document USB Wired A4 Scanner

Very pleased with the scan speed and output quality from this scanner. Happy to recommend it to others. A big step up from my old LiDE 30. The Canon driver and other software on the supplied CD simply would not install on my Win 10 PC. The installation process stalled several times. As always, Canon printers and scanners are easy to set up and use.
The software is simple and straightforward.

Easy to set up. Automatic attachment of scans to emails which previous scanner did not have. Neat Canon IJ Scan Utility Lite box that includes stitch function.

Easy to set up once I figured out the necessary functions that I needed. Bought specifically to scan graphite drawings. Scanned details to a high quality, better than expected. Had the earlier version of this same scanner but the newer LiDE 400 with its 4800X4800 is even better. Easy to set up, easy to use and great resolution if you need it. I love these flatbed scanners. I purchased the Canon 300 about a year ago and now hubby's old one has just died so I purchased the Canon 400. I have naughtily swapped over and I have installed the 400 on my PC and gave him the 300 which is still fine. I scan more than he does and he is happy with my decision. I love these flatbed scanners. Easy to use, great little scanner at a surprisingly good price. Bought this scanner because the scanner on my multi function printer scanner wasn't working and I needed to email docs out. I bought this to replace the Epson flatbed that skewed everything. The Canon is similarly slow but at least it is better made and produces good results. Note: it's fast enough at 300dpi but slow at higher resolutions. At 600dpi it seems to pause halfway through the scan, possibly doing a buffer flush, which makes the scan take even longer. The software is perhaps not as configurable as the Epson but I can achieve what I need through setting up a "custom scan". The scan results are sharp and accurate, which is the most important thing.
