Raspberry Pi Add-On Board 2021 Updated Version PoE+ HAT Power over Ethernet HAT for Raspberry Pi 4B and 3 Model B+

I've got six of these now, 5 on Pi 4s and 1 on a CM4.
They can be a little loud, but if you set the config up right in /boot/config.txt, you can get them a little quieter.

Powers my Raspberry Pi without issue.
Had to hack away at some case plastic to get it to fit, but nothing too painful. I also cut circular hole in the case above the fan for better air flow. Powers my Raspberry Pi without issue.

I recently used Power over Ethernet (PoE) to supply a Raspberry Pi 4 with 8GB running the 64-bit Pi OS Bookworm, all within a solar-powered setup that boasts a low carbon footprint. I’m pleased to report that the product performed exactly as expected!

This plug-and-play solution is perfect for anyone needing PoE capabilities. However, I did encounter a minor challenge while fitting the aluminum case. The board's crystal interfered with aligning all the GPIO pins, but I was able to resolve this by gently bending the screw latch. Once adjusted, everything fit perfectly.

The PoE HAT does exactly what it's supposed to do. The only problem is, with the HAT on, my Raspberry Pi 3B+ no longer fits in its case. Finding a decent replacement that can fit a HAT seems almost impossible. Maybe a USB PoE splitter may have been a better choice for me. The PoE HAT does exactly what it's supposed to do.
