Having owned and used almost all versions of the Pi since V1, this is by far the best and most responsive.

Boot time is down to seconds, and when using the UI it is responsive, without the delays experienced in previous versions such as the 3B. Have the 4 GB version, which likely contributes the increase in performance.

It does run warmer than earlier versions, so have heatsinked the chipset. Haven't used it for anything demanding yet, so forced cooling hasn't been necessary. Having owned and used almost all versions of the Pi since V1, this is by far the best and most responsive.

New on the pi scene, but very pleased with the product. Using it as I write this, and it seems to tick most boxes. It tends to over heat while doing video chat and other more intensive tasks. My Pi4B 4G is my first hands-on experience with a raspberry Pi. I have been fascinated with Raspberry for some time but didn't have time for something quite as minimal as the 2 or 3. I found the downloading and creation of a Raspberrian SD card easy enough and have even successfully installed PowerShell 6. It won't replace my go-to daily machine, I live in a Microsoft world, but what it can do is amazing. In terms of bang-for-buck, nothing I'm aware of can touch it. I'm using the Pi 4 as disk storage controller/node for my homelab VMs (separate hypervisor machines). SSD attached through the USB3 and 1GB Ethernet makes the Pi into a zippy storage controller. So far this products has worked fine although i'm still a little weary using it as it seems very delicate. But definitely worth the buy as it is practically the same price as the 3b.
