Raspberry Pi are keeping their reputation for delivering a surprising amount of power for the small price tag and size. I think the 5 is a slightly different beast in that it really needs active cooling to reach its full potential, so if you're planning to flex it then you should also grab suitable accessories to keep the temperature down. Luckily for you those are also quite affordable!

This Raspberry Pi is great for things that dont need too much power or performance such as: running a local Discord Bot, mining Bitcoin (although it's very slow and doesn't get you much) and heaps more! Once again the Pi folks have delivered a better product. This has the power and the memory at 8GB to act like a desktop for light work. Get that heat sink on so that it does not throttle down under the load. The price is not what they were a decade ago but then again neither is the power/speed. A bargain. It's a good product, but you're going to have to use the official power supply to get it working, and because it's ARM64, most software doesn't support it, however you can use emulation like box64, box86 and/or wine.
