JBL Pulse 4 20W RGB Portable Bluetooth Speaker - Black

The Pulse 4 is a great speaker even in 2025. I got mine on sale for a steal, a fraction of what the Pulse 5 costs, and yet it's very similar. It arrives beautifully packaged. The speaker itself is like a large bottle filled with light. The light is bright and hypnotic like a lava lamp. The sound is great, clear and good bass in my opinion. If you're a person who appreciates light and ambience, you'll enjoy it a lot. I think it excels as a speaker for smaller groups where it can be seen and appreciated, but I first saw one of these some years back at a large flat party and it did the job there, too. I'm glad I bought it at the sales night otherwise it would be a very expensive lantern with built-in speakers. It's a nice device but don't expect that famous JBL sound. If you are still buying it, take a good advice and put it in the corners to feel more bass. It is particularly re-this model number 4. I'm not sure how it goes with the further ones. Nice enough sound with good vocals needed for podcasts and Youtube from a tablet, very nice lightshows from the JBL app even a working eq which is cool for music.
