Logitech Z407 2.1 Bluetooth Computer Speakers with Subwoofer and Wireless Control, Immersive Sound, Premium Audio with Multiple Inputs, USB, AUX and Bluetooth

I bought these a week ago to upgrade my PC sound, as well as to listen to my phone (podcast, music, audiobook) when I'm not using the computer. My old speakers were fine but I only want one set of speakers in the space and I want them to do the computer and the phone easliy. These do that!

The sound is not as good as my Edifier 1280DB bookshelf speakers, which take the digital TV output as well as bluetooth. Specifically, the Z407 has louder bass, but it's not as clear. For music, the Edifiers are definitely better. However, this isn't an issue for me playing Far Cry or whatever, and the music is still enjoyable. I'll primarily be listening to podcasts + audiobooks and I bought these to suit my setup.

The remote puck is really simple to use (and it doesn't feel cheap) and has good gradations of volume. I have my computer attached by USB and the volume control is fed back to the PC - adjusting either adjusts the other. It is worth noting that the remote puck is essential - without it you couldn't use them, as there are no buttons on the speakers.

Overall: Great speakers, I'm very happy, they do the trick, but if they were just for music, or if my PC could output easily to bookshelf speakers (+my desk had space), I think I'd go that route instead. For the (reduced) price I'm pretty pleased, but more money would have got me better sound as well as the input flexibility (Logitech Z623 (no remote, old bluetooth), G560 (I don't need lights, still no remote). In future if I get more space I won't buy computer speakers again, I'll buy music speakers and make do for gaming, maybe connect them with a 3.5mm audio jack.

Also notable, it was cardboard instead of plastic in the packaging (apart from the polybags). The Edifiers were surrounded by styrofoam.

Sub is average. Volume isn't very loud even with all the computer volumes up aswell. Good quality sound for the price. The wireless control dial is great, keeping the desk clutter free. One thing to be aware of is that it makes quite a loud "notification" tone when it turns on and off, as well as when switching between volume and bass adjustment. I don't mind it, but there might be people who don't want to wake up someone in the next room when they turn off their computer at night. Good quality sound for the price. Happy with this purchase I made recently. I've had them for one month and the sound is full, and the bass is punchy. There is a wireless control that feels great to turn and click and can be placed around the room, takes 2 AAA batteries that come in the box. Love these. I'm a base junkie and these deliver. The Wireless controller wheel is amazing!!! I bought this on sale 3 months ago and really impressed by the quality of the product. Very easy to set up. I connected my Macbook via Bluetooth and My TV via AUX cable. I love the wireless remote and can change the input device via the remote easily. The sound is amazing and the bass is also great for music. Only the controller is wireless, not the whole setup. Used a couple of weeks after Christmas. Subwoofer not huge but makes bass much clearer. Overall sound much warmer and more musical than basic computer speakers, hence good value. These speakers are OK, but not HiFi. They work better on the USB port where you can enable a "loudness'" control than the mini phone connection to the PC soundcard. Bluetooth works OK and I had no problem setting it up. Bass is quite good, but the midrange and treble is a bit lacking. Overall they are OK, but I expected better for the price. Very impressed with how well-rounded these speakers are, considering the reasonable price. Sound is well-balanced, with the bass being able to be adjusted. Setup was nice and easy and the speakers have a very nice minimalistic aesthetic. Highly recommended for those considering these speakers. Only the AUX connection worked, and then only through my monitor. Bluetooth failed to even identify the speakers as an option to pick (even though bluetooth works for other devices), USB cable connect wouldn't work at all, and the AUX cable to motherboard outputs only worked through one speaker. Disappointing given the price. When I finally managed to get the 2 stereo speakers and the sub working, the sub (2.1) was not an option given in set-up, and the only option given was stereo (2.0). The sound quality is not great (but also not horrible). Muted treble and a mushy base with no controls available to adjust. The sound is adequate for some songs, but poor for gaming. The included bluetooth dial controller that should be able to adjust bass doesn't work while the speakers are connected via AUX to the monitor (which is the only option that actually works), and no prompt was given to install or download supporting software. The included instructions are vague, and the Logitech website was useless. Not impressed.
