Technically Claw has 2 times better cpu on paper. But i red too much bad rewievs thats made me confused. Last week i bought this device, and i am very happy with that after last bios and gpu update. For now i am playing rdr2, fc24, Battlefield1 and Dying Deadlight and WOT (WOT With BT Keyboard - Mouse) . All games steady and running very well without any problem. Also Ultra 5 is better then 7 almost all benchmark tests. May be next generation ıt would be the best choice. For now dont spend 300$ more. And definetly buy silicon pad wth stand, It makes, more handle, good for using as deskopt with stand, and protecting device. Also you might need 65W type-c power bank because this batteries never enough. For game with good resulation, max 2 hours may be less.. I am very happy with device, also i am using for my daily works, i m not using my laptop anymore..

Games like Elden Ring and Baldur's Gate 3 are playable, but only after a significant amount of time tweaking the in-game, MSI and Intel config settings. To be honest this handheld feels like a prototype, I suggest waiting for the next iteration of the Claw which should be coming out in a few months. Did a lot of research before purchasing this. most of the reviews are from when the intel ARK drivers were still new and full of bugs.
All of the early issues have been resolved, the one exception is the base TDP of this unit is much higher than the likes of the Steamdeck or Ally.

The MSI Claw impresses as a worthy contender in the entry-level gaming handheld market. It fits comfortably in my hand, allowing for extended gaming sessions. (Except the battery life 😬).
