Beast of a GPU, performance is top notch. Was really hesitant on this one because of the coil while issues, but after a week its practically inaudible even with the PC on top of my desk. Very quiet and runs cool under load (<75) but it can throw a lot of heat into the case, so make sure you've got decent case fans.

Ray tracing performance is in line with reviews - if you want it get NVIDIA, but at $400 less than the 4080 and $1400 less than the 4090 it's a no brainer.

Just wish PB Tech (or any retailer in NZ) would stock a wider range of brands for these cards, we're really limited for choice. Beast of a GPU, performance is top notch. Card ran well regarding performance and temperatures. However I ran to RMA this as it had horrible loud coil whine(could hear it from across the room). To PB Tech's credit they were really good with the return and refund process.

Would potentially recommended another model of 7900xtx as from looking online, bad coil whine is somewhat common with the hellhound models. Card ran well regarding performance and temperatures. Upgraded to a 4k60 monitor and wanted a GPU to match.
Was toss up between this one and Asrock, Asrock was 3 pin and a higher OC however went for the Hellhound because I wanted to stick with my GPU and was not wanting to push more watts plus wanted the 36 month warranty.
Card is a big boy so make sure your case is big enough for it.
Can confirm I had coil whine when it was being pushed in Metro Exdus, but it seems to have settled down after a couple of weeks and don't really notice with headphones on and PC under desk.
If you are noise sensentive and have PC on desk beside you, you might want to go for another car.

Has ran everything i have thrown at it, doesn't do everything at 4k ultra, still need to tweak a few things here and there for 60FPS.
BG3 has some CTD with "directx error DXGI_error_deive_hung" however AMD have confirmed this as a known issue.
So 1 star down for noise and driver issue but still happy with product and bonus free starfield.

This card is great! don't get me wrong, I can play 99% of the latest games with no issue, however there are a few issues with drivers and some older games. For instance, Red dead redemption 2 has black flickering and artifacts now and then that really hinder immersion into the game.
Coil whine is also a big issue, but if you're like me and cap the FPS and/or wear headphones then it's not a huge deal, just an annoying sound at higher fps (250+)
Also be aware that IDLE power consumption (80-120watts) is way too high if you are running high refresh rate specifically 144hz or multi monitor setup. I hope that AMD will fix this in the future.

Overall, I am happy with this card and like the 6xxx series, this card will only get better with each driver update.

Price wise this is a great buy and the 2 8Pin power is also great if you run an older PSU with only 2 8Pin cables.

Cant complain. Have faced a couple issues which I fixed by undervolting it in 1 game (BeamNG) otherwise no issues in other games. Obviously slaps in everything, worth getting as you can effectively get this and a good 4k monitor for the price of a 4090 and the performance is comparable. Works perfectly with great cooling. So far I have not even gone over 60% usage of this GPU, awesome for running games in high resolution on max settings, as well as CAD modelling and rendering. The cooling has been great with the GPU barely reaching over 70 degrees even under high load. It does have a slight wine when doing intensive tasks, however it is not noticeable if you are wearing any kind of headphones. Works perfectly with great cooling. This AMD card has 24GB VRAM and is well under half the price of the 4090 NVidia rival with 24GB VRAM. It's quiet, runs cool (despite what some have said) and allows me to play on my ultrawide monitor at full res for most games. There's only a few games that I've had to drop down from full res to lower settings, but I haven't ran a game in less than Ultra Quality on these settings: 5120×2160 (most games), 3440×1440 (a few newer/grunty games) or 2560×1080 pixels (only 2 games so far). Works well. Upgraded from a 3060ti to this and super stoaked with the performance. Reviews on the coil whine for these graphics cards seem a bit exaggerated as I dont really notice it unless I'm sitting in silence with the graphics card cranking. Works well. In terms of practical application the card performs well. In terms of aesthetics I would have gone for a different brand/card had it been more obvious the fans weren’t addressable RGB!
It might seem trivial but given ARGB is so common it’s a real let down these fans only have two colours. Such a waste of the vertical GPU raiser I shelled out for.
It doesn’t look trivial to swap them out for after market ARGB.

Paired with a 7800x3d it runs all my games well and the overbuild cooler keeps the temps in the low 60's.

Pros:
Cannot be beaten for value.
Excellent performance.
Very good temperatures.
Fans run quiet.

A moderate amount of coil whine (Initially the coil whine was quite loud but that seems to have settled down) I had worse coil whine on my previous 30 series Nvidia card.
Rare - power spikes (up to 500 watts for a brief moment) would recommend a good quality power supply and you'll be fine. I've owned this card for the past few weeks and haven't been disappointed.

Very powerful card if you have a powerful cpu. Coil wine on mine is low. First week I had loads off issue. Keeps on crashing the game. Could not play warzone. Took a lot of time to get it sorted.
