Unitek BF-810Y USB to Serial Adapter - 1.5m

What can I say? It does its job as a USB to Serial adapter. Letting me do the serial things I need to do talking to my Linux and Windows machines and embedded server (Combined with a simple NULL modem adapter). Windows 10 was a little weird, I had to jump around a bit but managed to get a driver from Prolific Technology's website as Windows built in driver didn't seem to like it very much. Linux however worked straight out of the box, Arch Linux to be more specific.

The only con I can think off that wouldn't apply to most people is the lack of LEDs (As far as I can tell) indicating any sort of activity. So its a bit hard to diagnose issues without an extra inline diagnostics adapter.

Overall though very happy, Will definitely get a few of these if I ever need more in the future.

Great price for a really good product. Latest version of the same chip set as in the adapter, so plugs into a Ubuntu installation and works with built in drivers. Ditto windows 11. If looks matter on a cable, this looks good stretched across my workbench, different enough from others so it doesn't get unplugged by accident Great price for a really good product. Its cheap and worked at the 9600 baud rate my UPS serial port needed.
