The PEXESAT322I PCI Express SATA III Controller Card (6 Gbps) gives you the option to add 2 internal or external SATA ports to your computer, through a single PCI Express (x1) card slot. The card features on board jumper selection, which enables you to configure the card to provide 2 internal or external SATA III ports, or one of each, as needed. The SATA III card features Port Multiplier (PM) support on each port, which allows multiple drives to be connected over a single cable when necessary to maximize the number of SATA device connections while reducing the amount of cabling required. The card is fully compliant with the SATA revision 3.0 specification (up to 6Gbps of data bandwidth), enabling you to utilize the speeds of high performance hard drives and Solid State Drives (SSD), as well as SATA-based optical drives (CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, Blu-Ray). The PEXESAT322I SATA III Controller card is backed by our 2-year manufacturer warranty and free lifetime technical support.

Not that great

Can detect the device but it won’t detect any drives. Reading other reviews on other sites this specific brand is problematic. Wouldn’t buy their products again.

Great little eSATA controller

This eSATA controller saved my bacon! I had an old proprietary i5 server with a SATA port multiplier, with 2 external eSATA RAID arrays connected to it. I thought when the motherboard failed, I would have endless grief recovering the data from the 2 RAID arrays. But I installed this eSATA controller in my new machine, plugged in the 2 RAID arrays, and everything came up, no drama. Big phew! Cheers StarTech and PBTech!

StarTech PEXESAT322I 2 Port PCIe SATA III eSATA Controller

Excellent Product . Bought the card to replace an old and failing esata card. Good choice working well and appears faster and certainly more reliable than old card. Have trialed both the USB 3.0 connection and the ESATA connection and both work well. Presently I have settled on using USB 3.0 but both options worked fine.
