I already had one of these, and it works well, so bought another. They can work using Wifi or Ethernet, have good Human or Vehicle detection, and can follow the moving detection pretty well. They are waterproof, and light enough to mount in many different places. A little bit tricky to get set up. You can log into the camera from the App and view the footage.

I wanted local network recording as well. There is a Windows App which you can monitor and record. But few tricks there. There is soft streaming or LAN based streaming. I don't know how they differ to the App, but the soft streaming times out. This is by design. The LAN based doesn't time out. If you want to record, this is very unreliable. The best way is to have it running, and use screen recording software to record locally. This recommendation was also suggested by the factory support.

It's a decent product, i have personally set it up to detect only person because is in my backyard so i can't say much about how it perform regarding motion sensor of cars or ambient change detection or movement as i have installed in a fixed position.
I have it from a couple of week and i can say that i had only 2 wrong alarm that said there was a human but in reality it was a spider and the second one a roach.

Also the cable is not very long...not very professional.
The led lights make next to no light in the dark. The setting for the change over to infrared light is setted wrong.
It's way too easy to just slide the camera off from his support and remove it.
The camera goes to infrared black and white even when all the lights outside my house are on. Should instead keep color till there is enought light before change over ( in the settings it tell you that will go back to color mode only when it will detect a motion or what you have select to detect in the settings).
The camera does not record the voice of the person speaking at the phone,only record noise outside next to the camera.
The microphone is WAY too powerful, i had to enter the settings in the computer to lower the level because was recording also background noise and was too annoing.
I am not sure but i can't play recorded video from my phone .. (i assume because they are in 4k) the only way to play them is by using vlc media player and when i play them the speed is 2x (not standard 1x).

Maybe all those issue may be fixed with the firmware update, i honestly don't wanna do it because last time i performed it on another camera, it lost several function that were important and the technical team of ezviz are a joke..i am asking to get help since more than a year and they just ghosting and do not even bother reply to the email.(so my advice is to not do update them if they already work decent).

Pro:
I like that there is an automatic zoom to the target so you can see it better during the live view.
The audio of the speaker of the camera is very clear and loud so you can easily understand what somebody says.
