The smanos Smart Video Doorbell & Chime Kit is an exciting new addition to the Smanos smart home portfolio. The completely wire-free Video Doorbell is easy to install, for outdoor use. With just 3 AA batteries and normal usage, it is estimated to last for approximately 10 to 12 months before a change of batteries. When someone presses on the bell button, the Wireless Chime will ring, and you and your family get an instant notification on your smartphones, enabling you to see and speak with your visitor no matter where you are in the house or in the world.
*Battery life is measured by an average of 2 presses on the bell button per day with recommended Alkaline batteries.
100% Wire-Free Design
With ultra-low power consumption technology, this Video Doorbell works under normal usage for about 12 months in standby mode with 3 AA batteries. No wiring or cable is required. Just apply the provided bracket and screws to affix the doorbell to your door frame, and then connect the doorbell to your home WiFi network by following the step-by-step instructions in our free app, and you are good to go. The Wireless Chime included works exclusively with this doorbell and is a plug-&-play device, which can be plugged into any standard power outlet inside your home.
Answer Your Door Anywhere, Anytime
When someone presses on your doorbell, you will get an app push notification right away. A preview image enables you to see who is outside first and decide whether or not to pick up the call. After you pick up, you are able to see, hear and speak with your visitor in 720p HD video and two-way audio from anywhere in the world where your smartphone has a data or WiFi connection.
Free Cloud Storage
You no longer need to worry about local storage or any visit that you might have missed. For each press of the doorbell, a 15-second video clip will be securely encrypted and saved to our cloud server (housed on AWS®). Right now, a ONE-YEAR Basic Plan* is offered to each smanos video device for optimal user experience. After the first year is up, you can easily downgrade to Free, or subscribe to Basic or Premium plan directly in the app, at your fingertips.
*Basic Plan stores event-based video clips from the past 7 days.
Sharing Devices with Family or Friends
Everyone in the family can have their own account for free. The person who sets up the doorbell is the Main Administrator, who can then share device access with up to 10 family and friend accounts with two levels of access rights - Admin or User. Admin will have full access rights, except for re-sharing the devices, while User will only receive alerts and edit their own account information.
