The next con of this CPU is that the wraith stealth cooler is definitely NOT enough to cool this CPU. As I am writing this review, this CPU is currently at ~53c with the wraith stealth cooler. That's not so bad is it? Well, the second you give it any kind of load, temps jump up to 95c and stay there. You'll find that your CPU will throttle itself down from it's advertised boost speed of 5100MHz to around 4600MHz which is far from ideal. Tweaking some settings in the BIOS did allow me to get to about 4800MHz - 4900MHz but the temps still remained at 95c. Now, this is just the nature of the 7000 series CPUs, 95c is where they usually end up sitting but the problem with the stock cooler is that it doesn't allow the CPU to boost up to it's advertised speed. I would absolutely recommend you get a decent cooler to go along with this. The Deepcool AK500 or something similar to that would be a good pairing for this CPU in my opinion.

Now, the positives of this CPU. As mentioned before, the need for motherboards that support DDR5 and most likely the latest PCIe 5.0 does mean upgrading down the line will be very simple with AM5 confirmed to be supported for at least 5 years. Another pro of this CPU is that the non 'X' variant of the Ryzen 5 7600 performs very well against it's bigger X variant brother with significantly less power draw. In my -albeit limited- testing of my CPU, power draw never went over 90W. This falls in line with other people's experiences with any non X 7000 series CPUs which is very exciting for people who are conscious about power draw. This CPU being paired with a RX 6700xt easily plows through every game I've played at 1080p and runs well at 1440p.

Overall, I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to get themselves an upgrade for relatively cheap (compared to other current gen CPUS). Just make sure to pick up an aftermarket cooling solution.

Just a note, if you notice Ryzen 7000 CPU get really hot while workload is not crazy, like reach 90 degree while watch YouTube. Then please install software "AMD Ryzen Master" and set to "Eco Mode", also go to BIOS, to disable the "Auto OC" feature. Then my 7600 temperature reduced to around 70 degree during normal workload. .... But it gets seriously HOT if you give it any workload even a small one. The cooler it comes with is not sufficient to keep it cool. But with the DEEPCOOL LS720 water cooler it idles at 33 and maxes out at 72 on full load. .... But it gets seriously HOT if you give it any workload even a small one. Very good CPU was going for the 7600x but this preforms pretty much exactly the same just cooler and more energy efficient and also comes with a cooler which in my opinion is better well worth it. Fantastic CPU for most games, with excellent linux support, as expected of AMD. It get phenomenal performance across the board for the price I paid. A few days after I bought it they jacked up the price to over $100 more however, so it may be ill-advised to buy this CPU from pbtech. I got this for my first build, so I wanted something good but not top range to begin. I have been so happy with this CPU though, it works amazingly and I have had zero issues at all, it was also easy to install and has been hassle free overall. It's also nice that it comes with its own cooling fan too, although I bought a different one as I'd read that the supplied fan isn't the best. Still nice to know it's there if I ever need it. I'd highly recommend this CPU :) I got this for my first build, so I wanted something good but not top range to begin.
