If you're building a new midrange gaming pc going with this is a no brainer! Excellent performance and very efficient. The 65W TDP suits an air cooler just fine, don't think I've seen temps go over 72c even while doing cpu intensive tasks. If you're building a new midrange gaming pc going with this is a no brainer! The 65W TDP is a bit misleading, this thing runs warm, much warmer than I was expecting as I had planned to use with the AXP90-x47 which should be adequate, but idle temps were sitting around 45degC plus and stayed high under load.
It also idles between 45-50degC with the NH-P1 passive cooler, which I have previously used with other 65W TDP cpus such as the i3-13100 and i5-12400 that would idle around 38-42degC.
So I would recommend to use a robust cooler with this, a tower cooler with 120mm fan or 240mm AIO at the least, and I plan to use the BeQuiet Shadow Rock 3 with this going forward. I was sceptical to buy this coming from an i-9 9900KF but, this CPU is much better than that one.

I recommend this cpu if you are moving to am5 or new to pc. This cpu has given me good performance and overall made my pc experience really good!
