Laser DVD-HD012 MULTI-REGION DVD Player HDMI, Composite Video & USB Port

Bought mainly for use as a CD player and backup DVD player. Is one of the few budget players that has HDMI out (many only have component output) as well as separate RCA audio line out, which works OK with older audio systems. Bought August 2024, died May 2025, so 9 months of light use. Froze with tray not opening, after cycling power no longer turns on. Possibly this is a once off, but I purchased the DVD Player in October of 2024, only to have it stop working in January 2025. I sent it back, and was immediately granted a refund, which is excellent. All works well without a fuss. It has an HDMI output. Remote is somewhat fiddly. The price is fantastic. I have never heard of this brand, so we need to watch and see for its reliability. I did notice a 3-year warranty and that shows brand confidence. It is also the only brand with an out-of-the-box multi-zone capability. All works well without a fuss. It has an HDMI output. Good for the price, had a few issues with rhe picture seeming to big so cropping a bit, changing settings didn't help. But it plays our UK dvds so thats what we needed. I bought this one (rather than the Panasonic one) because it was multi zone and had the HDMI connection, which the Panasonic didn't. It's been a great player, no setup required on my smart TV. The remote buttons are very small, which other people had commented on, but they're fine for normal use (as in play/pause/stop). A bit more concentration is required for FF and RW, but it's not a major. Great value for the cost.
