I bought this cooler for temporary use until i could purchase an AIO to cool a Ryzen 9 7900x, which its very clearly not rated to effectively cool. It did quite well however, keeping it at 75 while idle (normal temp for this cpu) and managing to keep it under the specified max temp under load.
The fan is quite loud however, even under minimal load, but for this price the cooler is certainly worth it if you need a cheap and quick solution. I need a simple cooler for a server that I am expecting to undervolt / underclock, so the stock cooler will do just fine. AM4 form factor, installation was trivial, just unscrew the factory banana clips, keep the back-of-board bracket, screw the new cooler down (Phillips, not even Torx) until the springs go ping and done. Works as expected, cools the system perfectly at idle and adequately at load. Reports fan speed to BIOS and to Linux.
