I'm sure you can get better cooling with a liquid system. But this one was easy to install and is amazing what it does. I'm cooling an R7 9700x and temperatures are around 70 under heavy load (helps that is being chilly in Dunedin, and maybe it could get higher unde prolonged multicore load, but not sure). Noise is low. I totally recommend this one instead of going for liquid cooling. My setup is 2 front fans, and one in the back, and it is very quiet system and temperatures are looking good. This cooler is really a good product for the price. Depending on your CPU, it can really cool it from 10-15 degrees at max efficiency. I do recommend you get a seperate thermal paste but if you can’t, you can’t reallg go wrong with the stock paste. This cooler is really a good product for the price. Great pairing with the Ryzen 7 5700X3D, bought both in the BF sale. Runs the cpu cooler than my previous 5600X/Noctua cooler with same GPU. Especially like the angled offset pipes that leave the Ram sticks out in the open. Great sale price on both from PB Tech with quick delivery. My BeQuiet AIO water pump failed after 3years of use, so I purchased the AK500 to replace it, I was pleasantly surprised, my CPU is Ryzen 5 5600X, on the Bequiet AIO idle temp was 33C and underload would reach 65C.
This AK500 Aircooler i am able to get 28C idle and 55C under load, the AK500 fan noise is only slightly louder than the Bequiet AIO most probably due to the FAN on the heat sink.
Its pretty good value to get good cooling performance similar to a AIO.

Peak Temps on my i7 were reaching 100C with the stock cooler. With this cooler, Temps are down to 70C even when stressed at 100% CPU usage. Upgraded from the original Intel FAN which thermal throttled my i5-12400F majorly (inside MATX case)

Now sitting at 20-25c idle / 40-50C Max during load - barely makes a sound and overall great purchase for the price. As expected big FPS increase.

Very good at cooling 7800X3D for me, but be mindful that it's very tall, so it's not possible to make a sleeper from old computer cases. You need a wide case to accommodate this monster. Previously used an EKWB 280mm AiO and when that failed I bought this thinking it would just be temporary.
